What to Expect on ST. PATRICK'S MONTH with Atlanta Irish Dance!

What to Expect on ST. PATRICK'S DAY with Atlanta Irish Dance!

Atlanta Irish Dancers Peyton & Couper waive to the camera at the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade!

Hold on to your soft shoes! There is a whole DIFFERENT kind of March Madness at Atlanta Irish Dance! Dancers of all levels - Little Tots, New Beginners through Adults - are invited to join us in this exciting time of the year! Here are some things you need to know!

  1. ATLANTA ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE - All of our dancers AND parents walk with us in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. New Beginners ride on our float. Other Dancers dance behind the float, and parents walk behind the dancers waiving to the crowd.

    • Who can Join? All Dancers and all their family members who can walk a mile. If you are unable to walk the entire distance, we have a spectator spot you can watch at and meet us at the end of the parade!

    • What do I Wear? Students wear a Costume or Pre-Costume. Family member Parents wear a Green or Black Parade/Spirit Tee (found HERE on our Spirit Store). Order by February to deliver on time! Depending on the temperature, we’ll give more specific instructions on how to layer.

    • Where is the Parade? In Midtown on Peachtree Street! We will send out detailed instructions closer to the parade day.

    • What time is the Parade? We generally arrive around 10am, and the parade kicks off at noon. We decorate the float and dance and have a great time while we wait!

    • When is it? it is NOT necessarily on St. Patrick’s Day. The date changes, and is usually the Saturday before St. Patrick’s Day.

  2. POST PARADE PARTY! - After the Parade, we all head over to our designated party headquarters! Dancers perform throughout the afternoon, and Parents get a chance to mingle and celebrate the way St. Patrick’s intended it, in a low key environment!

  3. PERFORMANCES- We perform all OVER Atlanta throughout the year, but we are SUPER busy in March. For each performance, we send out a link to a “Signup Genius”. This will have details about the performance (location, arrival time, etc.) MOST performances are open to ALL levels - yes even new beginners! The levels are listed in the signup genius.
